There is something to be said about crisp mountain air, clear skies and quiet surroundings. They do something for the body, the mind and the soul. Just 90 minutes outside the hubbub of Los Angeles, you can get all 3, and you can escape the smog for more idyllic surroundings. Welcome to Lake Arrowhead, a hidden gem nestled atop the San Bernardino Mountains that gives respite to those who need a little rest and relaxation. There’s plenty not to do, if that’s what you choose. But, if you’d like to be entertained while you relax, there’s also plenty to do.

While Lake Arrowhead is indeed an actual lake, quite a stunning one to be precise, it’s also an area comprised of many surrounding communities. There is Lake Gregory, Skyforest, Twin Peaks, Crestline and Blue Jay to name a few. There are places to stay for every budget, plenty of options for dining, from casual to formal, lots of little shops and best of all, plenty of outdoor adventures to be had on the mountain or on the lake.

Maybe it’s just to enjoy friendship, to de-stress, or to celebrate a big occasion like a birthday party or a bachelorette party. No matter what your reason for visiting we’ve got you covered with the perfect itinerary.

The first thing you will need is an idyllic place to stay. The Perch at Twin Peaks is the perfect spot for any occasion. This camp situated on top of the mountain contains 13 cabins, each furnished in its own unique style and equipped with a kitchenette. The cabins have all been recently renovated and are best described as cozy, warm and charming. Each cabin ranges in size offering ample space for small parties to large groups, so you can gather as many girlfriends as you like for your escape to Lake Arrowhead. There is a communal gathering hall as well a fire pit. You might pack a book, some yard games or just your sweats. The Perch at Twin Peaks is a nature lovers retreat for all – with plenty of comfort for the city dweller too.
