Second City celebrates its 65th anniversary with its 112th mainstage revue, The Devil is in the Detours, a hilarious and deranged descent into a dimension where chaos is king!
Have you ever wanted to escape your everyday worries and woes? Then come and spend the evening with an electric group of six performers who sing, dance and rock the hell out in an interactive and entertaining immersive sketch and improv comedy show.
The revue’s diverse cast includes Andy Bolduc, Adonis Holmes, Laurel Krabacher, Jordan Stafford, Hannah Ingle and Adisa Williams. The performers each bring their own brilliant talent and personalities to this fast paced show, that was witty and an edgy, entertaining good time. The cast has impressive stage chemistry and displays performing teamwork.
From today’s relevant current topics, politics, pop culture and everyday human nuances, Second City has done it yet again with an original, creative and hysterical bunch of comedy sketch and improv shorts that will make you bust a gut and cry tears of mirth. A comedy show does not get more satirical and funny than one at Second City!
Just like The Book of Mormon, The Devil is in the Detours is not for the faint of heart or the easily offended. The show pokes fun at everything and everyone, from Sesame Street puppets complaining about the economy and world wars (meet puppet Jenny, short for Genocide!), inflation and non-affordable housing.
Add in blond, smiling bimbos trying to sell real estate and pizza ovens, and lemon puckered face servants rushing back and forth to deliver go gibberish messages to rich British married couples, and finally in horse-talking shy cowboys. What does this all equal? A fantastic and hysterical comedic time that you hope will not end.
If you are looking for a humorous, crazy and fun filled comedic experience that will leave you laughing hours after the show is over, then come check out The Devil is in the Detours!
